Last Minute easy Halloween Costume on a Budget

This year we were too busy to plan out any halloween costumes or ideas so the day before I hopped on pinterest to scope out a quick "couples costume on a budget and at last minute"
Scarecrows! I found the straw hats at Michael's art supply store, One of them was about 10 inches wide and the other was 18 inches wide. I paid under 8$ for both!
Right next to the Michael's was a goodwill thrift store and I was still on the hunt for a plaid shirt. Just as we were about to leave I spotted one, it was a men's Abercrombie and Fitch but it fit perfectly and I paid 3.50 for it! Score!! Since we already had boots and hay we didn't need to worry about that :)

On Halloween night I started my Makeup by applying my moisturizers, primer and foundation.

Next I applied mascara to my eyelashes and even added some fake lashes for a more dramatic effect and lined my eyes with a thin liner on the bottom and top of my eye.

Then I started with the scarecrow "look". I started by using my E.L.F Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in the Pink Umbrellas color, this was used on the patch for my nose and the circular cheeks. I use the gloss stick regularly on my lips and I purchased it from target for 1$ (link below)

Once the Lip Gloss Stick was applied I added a generous amount of pink eyeshadow on top of the gloss to make it more vibrant.

I then lined the patch on my nose with a black pencil eye liner and added the stitched lines to give it the "patched look". I also went over the pencil liner with a liquid liner to help prevent smearing and to make it last  longer.
I used the same pencil liner to make the stitched smile from my lips to my scarecrow cheeks and went over it again with the liquid liner.
I had a lot of fun giving him big triangle eyebrows using my black eye liner and filling it in with black eye shadow.

I did the same steps for the nose on my fiance except in dark browns and then added his stitched smile and placed hashtag like stitches throughout his face for fun.
To top off the look we put our flannels, straw hats and boots on and stuffed hay in our boots. It's okay if it messes up or doesn't look perfect because scarecrows after all are not perfect!
My inspiration for his makeup was found in this helpful youtube video:
And for my own makeup I was inspired by this video but added my own twists and different choices in makeup.

Very Quick Halloween Care Package

This entry is going to be short and sweet, my fiance's best friend is stationed with Air force out of state and every so often we like to send him some love from home. This month I made him a Halloween themed care Package and I had a lot of fun with it.

First things first we had to pick up a medium flat rate box from our local postal office Just like the one below

Next we got to go SHOPPING!!! At what better store than Dollar tree?

We loaded up on Shipping safe candies, it is october though so I am not too afraid of anything melting. We also bought decorations for the inside of the box.

I glued down the "infection zone" tape with elmer's glue
Hot glued the Pumpkin garland
And filled the inside up with fake spider web, candies, and a dino mask, then covered the top in more fake web. It came out great!
